Jane was at a gas station with her son when she called us to see where we were located. On a Friday afternoon, they came into our office visibly upset. As we sat there and listened, our hearts became broken. They needed help, but without having family nearby, they had nowhere to turn. They had been homeless, living in their car after she had lost her job and then her home. We knew we had to help, so we helped arrange a motel room for them to stay in for three days.
When we ask God for help, He listens. He provides. We reached out to our member churches, and with their help, we were able to help this mom and her son with an apartment to live in. And God didn’t stop there! She now has a job, and is able to provide for their small family.
